Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 16 series has been unveiled by a credible analyst in the display industry. The company is expected to make an announcement regarding its 2023 iPhones in September of this year, with the iPhone 16 range likely to be released around the same period in the following year. Here are details on the tipped features of iPhone 16 series.
Ross Young, co-founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants, has disclosed that Apple intends to modify the screen sizes of its 2024 iPhones, with the iPhone 16 Pro models sporting large displays, as per a report by MacRumors. The publication noted that the iPhone 16 Pro and Max versions are predicted to feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED screens, respectively. This is in line with Apple’s recent practice of employing OLED displays in its devices.
Presently, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max feature displays that measure 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, correspondingly. Reports suggest that Apple has no plans to alter the display sizes for its iPhone 15 lineup, which is slated for release this year, and that the forthcoming devices will feature the same panels as last year’s models. Although details concerning the iPhone 16 series are not yet available, leaks have already provided a glimpse of what to expect from this year’s iPhones.
Media reports indicate that the iPhone 15 and its larger variant will be powered by Apple’s Bionic A16 chipset, while the Pro models will have the new A17 chip. Additionally, all models are expected to come equipped with a USB Type-C port instead of the company’s proprietary Lightning port. It is also speculated that Apple’s Dynamic Island feature, previously exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro series, will be present on all models. This suggests that the upcoming devices may feature a punch-hole display design.
