Bluesound Celebrates 10 Years With Special Limited Edition NODE X

Canadian audio brand Bluesound is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special announcement at Munich’s High End hi-fi show. Bluesound has built a reputation for producing high-end audio streaming equipment that appeals to a younger demographic rather than the more mature hi-fi market.

Bluesound is all about hi-res, multi-room streaming and the company makes a range of products that can be added to existing audio systems and all-in-one music streamers that just need a pair of speakers added.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Bluesound has announced the launch of a special limited-run Anniversary Edition NODE X streamer. The NODE X will have a unique silver finish and high-performance thanks to the use of ESS 9028Q2M Sabre DAC, a favorite chipset of audiophiles because of its musicality, near-zero levels of clock jitter, ultra-low noise, plus wide dynamic range.

The NODE X has a high-end headphone amplifier driven by THX AAA (Achromatic Audio Amplifier) technology with patented feed-forward error correction, producing incredibly low noise, distortion and power consumption levels. Along with the ¼-inch headphone jack, the NODE X provides high-end headphone listening.

For connecting to the Internet, the NODE X offers a choice of dual-band Wi-Fi along with a wired Ethernet connection. The Bluesound system provides 20 natively integrated music services and access to thousands of internet radio stations. Music stored on a computer or external drive can be accessed using the intuitive BluOS app, which is available for iOS and Android platforms, as well as macOS and Windows.

The award-winning BluOS platform supports 64 players and can stream hi-res audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, including lossless file formats and MQA playback. The NODE X has connections for HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, Apple AirPlay 2, aptX HD Bluetooth, or USB Type A.
