If you download the Mac version of DropBox from its Web site, you’ll likely get version 1.1.35 — which is all well and fine, if you’re happy with the status quo.
However, if you’re playing around with Lion, you might want to take advantage of a special version that’s only available on the DropBox forums.
If you’re an advanced DropBox user grab the special “forum build” (a.ka. version 1.2.13) which adds several new features. The forum build includes improved Lion support, tweaked visuals in the setup wizard and TOS acceptance and the removal of an annoying OS X dialog when moving your Dropbox folder or installing Dropbox for the first time.
Personally, I recommend Wuala for the more security conscious, but DropBox’s iOS integration is tough to beat. Until iCloud comes out in the Fall, that is.
