PowerPage Podcast Episode 151 – Same dog food, reheated

PowerPage Podcast 2011Episode 151 of the PowerPage Podcast is now available. You can either download it from the iTunes Store or directly (44.1 MB, MP3).

Panel: Jason O’Grady, Rob Parker and Tom Hesser

The week we discuss the new 2011 MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt, quad-core Sandy Bridge processor (but in the same recycled “unibody” design), Apple’s iPad 2 event on March 2, the Mac OS 10.7 “Lion” developer preview and we play “What’s on your Mac?”

Here’s what’s on our Macs this week:

  • Cropmark LMP Bluetooth Keypad ($40, Other World Computing) – 28-key wireless bluetooth keypad that attaches to the Apple bluetooth keyboard.

  • Al Jazeera English Live for iPhone/iPad (Free, App Store) – Watch live news from the Middle East and the world.
  • TotalFinder for Mac ($15) – Finder enhancement that includes tabbed finder windows (which Tom and I second).

  • FaceTime for Mac OS X ($0.99, Mac App Store) – Now out of beta and works great with the new FaceTime HD camera in the new MacBook Pro.
